Your mission as a Backend Software Engineer will be to design and build the robust, scalable, and high-performing backend systems that form the backbone of the PropHero platform. You will leverage your expertise in , TypeScript, and Serverless architecture to create the core APIs and services that ensure our user experience is seamless, secure, and reliable. Your contribution will be the critical foundation that allows our platform to function flawlessly, directly enabling our mission to make property investment simple and accessible for everyone.

How you will shape Prophero:

• Building high-quality systems: Develop and optimize robust backend services and APIs using , TypeScript, and Serverless architecture.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Work closely with frontend engineers, designers, and product managers to define technical requirements and deliver seamless features.
• Improving performance: Ensure backend systems are optimized for scalability, performance, and reliability.
• Advocating for best practices: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, applying SOLID principles and driving adherence to best practices in backend development.
• Contributing to innovation: Actively participate in architectural decisions and suggest new tools or strategies to continuously improve our platform and development processes.

What you will bring to our team:

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in backend development.
• Proficiency in and TypeScript, with a proven track record of building and deploying robust, scalable backend services.
• Hands-on experience with Serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda). A bonus point if you have experience with SST.
• Deep practical knowledge of SOLID principles and Clean Code techniques.

General Skills:

• Strong understanding of system architecture and the ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable systems.
• Proactive and autonomous, with excellent communication skills for collaborating in a global, distributed team.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Continuous improvement mindset.
• Proven use of AI coding assistants to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality.

Tools and other requirements:

• Proficiency with Git for version control and knowledge of CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of API standards (e.g., REST) and security best practices.
• Leveraged AI tools, such as Cursor, to accelerate development cycles and improve efficiency.
• Advanced English, as all our teams are distributed globally and we use English for all internal communications.
