Education And Experience
- Degree in health sciences, biomedicine, biology, or another related scientific discipline. Additional training in management, public administration, or an MBA will be positively valued.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in biomedical research management within complex and highly regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience in biomedical research institutes, university hospitals, public research organizations, or entities associated with the biomedical research sector.
- Proven experience in the development and management of scientific policies and strategies in the biomedical field.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with proven leadership skills.
Key Competencies
- Strategic management: ability to translate institutional objectives into concrete and achievable operational plans.
- Collaborative leadership: ability to work transversally and build consensus among areas with diverse interests.
- Knowledge of the biomedical research landscape: familiarity with funding programs (Horizon Europe, National R&D Plan, regional initiatives), evaluation agencies, and research ecosystem dynamics.
- Project management: strong command of project management methodologies and monitoring tools.
- Critical analysis and problem-solving: ability to identify challenges, propose innovative solutions, and navigate institutional complexities.
- Effective communication: excellent written and oral communication skills in Catalan, Spanish, and English.
- Regulatory knowledge: familiarity with research regulations, bioethics, data protection (GDPR), and transparency and good-governance standards.
