The Role
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing middleware platforms, ensuring high availability, security, and performance across enterprise applications. In addition, you will coordinate team activities, providing technical leadership and guidance to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
Hybrid work model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.
This role requires participation in 24x7 on-call rotations.
- Administer and maintain middleware systems (e.g., WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere).
- Configure, deploy, and monitor application servers and integration components.
- Ensure middleware environments meet performance, security, and compliance standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to middleware and application connectivity.
- Coordinate tasks and priorities within the engineering team.
- Act as a technical point of contact for escalations and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
- Maintain accurate documentation for configurations, deployments, and processes.
- Contribute to automation, optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support business needs.
Who You Are
- Experience: 6+ years in software engineering and middleware administration.
- Expert knowledge of:
- Middleware platforms (WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IBM WebSphere)
- Application deployment and configuration management
- Preferred:
- Experience with scripting and automation (bash, PowerShell, Ansible)
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices
- Strong leadership and coordination skills to manage team activities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

- Intermediate English
- Catalan
- Required: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Preferred: Certifications in middleware technologies or ITIL Foundation.
