Valerdat was founded with the goal of solving one of the most complex challenges companies face: optimizing the supply chain. As a result of applying new technologies to address this problem, we developed the first AI-powered purchasing assistant.

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Data Scientist based in Barcelona, with some work-from-home flexibility. The Senior Data Scientist will focus on applying advanced data science techniques to solve complex problems, deriving actionable insights from data, and developing predictive models.

Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in Data Science, including machine learning, predictive modeling, and algorithm development
  • Proficiency in Statistics, including statistical modeling, hypothesis testing, and probability theory
  • Experience in Data Analytics and Data Analysis to extract insights, patterns, and trends from complex datasets
  • Proficiency in creating Data Visualizations to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders
  • Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python or R
  • Experience with big data technologies and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and data pipeline tools is beneficial
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. A PhD is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
