In this role, you'll provide expert patient care, health teaching, and counseling while delivering interventions that restore and support well-being. You'll work collaboratively with physicians and licensed providers to carry out medical regimens and lead a dedicated care team of nurses and clinical support staff. Beyond daily patient care, you'll also take part in professional development opportunities through workshops, in-service training, and ongoing education. This is an opportunity to grow your nursing career in a supportive environment while helping patients and families navigate their most critical health journeys.We offer a starting pay of $47.58 per hour, based on your experience, along with a comprehensive and highly competitive benefits packageQualifications:Required Education and Experience
License Requirement
License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
1. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing1; or
2. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and prior experience working in a nursing home, psychiatric facility or other sub-acute facility1; or
3. Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time medical-surgical experience in an acute care setting. 2
NOTE:
1. Incumbents must serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse I in order to be eligible for promotion to a Nurse II.
2 Upon successful completion of orientation and the ability to function independently at a satisfactory level for three (3) months (full-time), the incumbent would be eligible to be promoted to a Nurse II. This individual would then serve a one (1) year full-time probationary period as a Nurse II.
3. Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
