We specialize in providing integrated solutions across the entire lifecycle of clean energy, from the promotion, development, and construction of wind farms, photovoltaic plants, and hydroelectric power stations, to their operation, maintenance, and the sale of the generated clean energy. Currently, Elawan has 2.1 GW in operations and boasts an impressive portfolio of 8 GW in projects, with 2.5 GW in an advanced development phase and another 5.5 GW in an earlier stage.

The position is part of the Operations and Maintenance area of Elawan Energy's renewable power generation plants globally.

Based on the Madrid Headquarters, the mission of the position is to coordinate asset maintenance to optimize cost-effectiveness, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and the Group's safety, quality, and environmental policies. Additionally, actively supervise quality procedures and plant acceptance tests both before the start of operations and maintenance and after the warranty period.

Main accountabilities

  • Collaborate with other involved departments in carrying out the various plant handover procedures.
  • Supervise the proper execution of plant acceptance procedures, following up on any pending items once the plant has been handed over and O&M has started.
  • Validate the final plant acceptance procedures once the warranty period has ended.
  • Perform tasks inherent to the O&M process in the projects being worked on.
  • Help ensure the performance of the facilities according to the preventive maintenance plan, as well as corrective maintenance when necessary.
  • Interpret plans and wiring diagrams.
  • Diagnose faults, conduct root cause analysis, and resolve breakdowns.
  • Prepare maintenance, availability, and performance reports.
  • Prepare internal and external reports as requested for ad-hoc requests.
  • Analyze data and present findings in reports using Power BI.
  • Ensure compliance with the preventive maintenance plan.
  • Ensure compliance with all required contractual KPIs (response time, availability, performance, among others).
  • Participate in the conflict resolution process with suppliers when service delivery issues arise.
  • Participate in market studies through value analysis.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers to meet company needs, supporting contract negotiation processes.
  • Identify improvement opportunities that enable analysis of departmental activity.
  • Prepare annual operating budgets (P&L).
  • Coordinate with utility companies and authorities.
  • Perform additional tasks that may be necessary for the role.

Requirements and personal skills:

  • Experience (years/area):
    +2 years of
    experience in in the operation and maintenance of renewable energy plants.
  • Education:
    University Degree (BSc.) in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanic/Electronics or related fields). Energy-themed masterships would be highly valued.
  • Languages:
    Fluent Spanish and high level of English.
  • Personal skills:
