About the role

We are seeking a Technical Lead – Data Engineering to join our team in Madrid or Barcelona and lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions. This position involves managing a team of data engineers, defining best practices in data architecture, and ensuring high-quality delivery for enterprise-level projects.

Your profile

• Your Profile – Technical Lead (Data Engineering)

• At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, including 2+ years in a technical leadership role

• Strong expertise in Python, SQL, Spark, and ETL frameworks
• Solid experience in data pipelines, including data modeling
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Strong understanding of data lakes and data warehouses
• Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus)
• Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams
• Ability to collaborate with Data Scientists, Cloud Architects, and Business Analysts
• Commitment to data security and governance standards

Certifications:

• AWS Certified Data Engineer – Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Fundamentals
• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Data Engineer Associate
• Either AWS Data Engineer Associate or Azure Fabric Data Engineer Associate
