Senior Purchasing Specialist – Source to Pay

Job Title

Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Specialist to support the Global Process Owner of the Source to Pay process. This role will be based in Madrid and will play a critical part in supporting the Source to Pay core team, Assisted Buyers community, and acts as a key partner to the Global Process Owner (GPO) and Finance Service Center (FSC). The role focuses on e-invoicing implementation, user enablement, operational excellence, and ensuring strict adherence to StP processes through process mining and documentation management

Responsibilities

Global Process owner key collaborator

• Partner with the Global Process Owner and Source to Pay core team to ensure effective strategy and execution;
• Oversee Assisted Buyers for compliance, process adherence, and reporting;
• Collaborate with Purchasing Governance Office to communicate updates, best practices, and deliver training to stakeholders;
• Serve as official back-up for all GPO activities.

Driving improvement initiatives

• Drive process improvements and monitor KPIs to ensure objectives are met;
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Accounting, Controlling, and IT for process alignment;
• Provide training and support on process matters and ensure compliance with policies and regulations;
• Use process mining tools for compliance analysis and explore innovations in Source to Pay;
• Coordinate vendor management within the Source to Pay tool.

Leading specific projects / implementations

• Plan and assess projects with the Global Process Owner, focusing on e-invoicing and Source to Pay implementation strategy;
• Define scope, identify gaps, and design processes with Application Owners;
• Manage data migration, training, and change management for stakeholders;
• Oversee UAT, go-live, and provide ongoing support;
• Report project status regularly to management.

About the ideal candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field;
• 3-5  years experience within a consultancy firm;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of the Source to Pay process : Both Purchasing and Accounts Payable knowledge;
• Exposure to big corporations/ multinationals with multi-cultural teams;
• Proven experience in process improvement and project management;
• Experiences in P2P tool implementation is a plus;
• Proficiency in relevant software and tools, in particular SAP and a Source to Pay tool (Coupa, Ariba, Ivalua…);
• English: Excellent, written and oral.
