About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Trade Floor Support Engineer
, delivering exceptional technical support to one of our investment banking clients. This is an onsite role requiring a proactive, organised engineer who can operate confidently in a fast‑paced trading environment.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced support specialist with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with business users, senior stakeholders, IT Managers, and third‑party vendors. You will act as an advocate for the Trading Support function and ensure outstanding service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide hands‑on support to business users via phone, email, ServiceNow tickets and in person, ensuring all tickets are completed within SLA.
  • Manage user expectations professionally and effectively.
  • Support onboarding of new joiners and carry out ad‑hoc desk moves.
  • Deliver
    1st–3rd Line Support
    for all hardware and software issues.
  • Provide
    Market Data support
    (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters).
  • Set up and support mobile devices (iPhones, iPads).
  • Conduct intraday and out‑of‑hours desk moves.
  • Perform ad‑hoc system/application testing outside normal working hours.
  • Liaise with third‑party vendors to resolve technical issues.
  • Participate in the out‑of‑hours on‑call rota.
  • Provide flexible working hour coverage up to
    10:30pm
    when required.

Required Knowledge & Experience

  • Previous
    Trade Floor Support
    experience is essential.
  • Experience supporting Market Data tools including
    Bloomberg
    and
    Reuters/Eikon
    .
  • Strong knowledge of
    Windows 10 desktop support
    .
  • Experience supporting
    Office 365
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Active Directory, GPO, WMI, SCCM
    .
  • Understanding of desktop virtualisation technologies:
    Citrix XenDesktop, VMware, Nutanix
    .
  • Knowledge of desktop/laptop hardware and VDI environments.
  • Experience with broker applications such as
    Brokertec, GFI, ICAP
    , etc.
  • Mobile device support (iPhone/iPad).
  • Experience using the
    Microsoft SCCM Console
    .
  • Knowledge of
    ServiceNow
    ticket management (highly desirable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • PowerShell knowledge.
  • Exchange administration (desirable).
  • Ability to work independently, manage workload, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Flexible, resilient, proactive, and able to deliver strategic objectives.
  • Leadership and delegation skills, with the ability to influence others.
