As an SRE, your mission is to ensure our cloud platforms are reliable, secure, performant, and cost-efficient while enabling innovation through automation and FinOps practices. You will partner with development and platform teams to design and operate scalable AWS environments that are resilient, observable, and efficient.

By driving operational excellence, strengthening security, improving system reliability, optimizing performance, and managing costs effectively, you will help transform our infrastructure into a strategic advantage that empowers the business to innovate and scale confidently.

Responsibilities:

Cloud & Multi-Account Management:

• Design, operate, and secure AWS multi-account environments, ensuring proper isolation, permissions, and landing zone best practices.
• Enforce governance, compliance, and security controls across all accounts.
  

Infrastructure as Code & Automation:

• Automate provisioning and configuration using Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.
• Ensure repeatable, version-controlled deployments and infrastructure consistency.

AWS Well-Architected Initiatives:
Implement and maintain practices aligned with AWS Well-Architected Framework (WAFR) pillars:

• Operational Excellence: Monitoring, alerting, incident response, and continuous improvement.
• Security: IAM policies, auditing, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, and compliance enforcement.
• Reliability: Backups, disaster recovery, and resilient architecture design.
• Performance Efficiency: Right-sizing resources, scaling strategies, and workload optimization.
• Cost Optimization: Resource monitoring, cost allocation, FinOps practices, and optimization initiatives.
  

Monitoring, Observability & Incident Response:

• Configure metrics, dashboards, and alerts using Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
• Participate actively in incident response, root cause analysis, and post-mortem improvements.
  

Security & Compliance:

• Implement cloud security policies, including IAM, guardrails, auditing, and enforcement using tools like OPA or AWS Config.
• Ensure alignment with corporate and industry security standards.

• Strong experience with AWS Cloud, multi-account management, and landing zone best practices, as well as exposure to multi-cloud environments (e.g., Azure, GCP).
• Hands-on experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Knowledge of AWS Well-Architected Framework (WAFR) and experience applying its pillars in production environments.
• Experience with cloud security, IAM policies, guardrails, and compliance enforcement across multiple cloud providers.
• Experience with FinOps, cost monitoring, and optimization in shared or multi-cloud environments.
• Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell and prompting.
• Previous experience in a similar role as a platform engineer, DevOps engineer, or cloud infrastructure engineer.
• Hands-on experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable cloud-based platforms and services.
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional or equivalent certification.
