About the Role: 

We are looking for a motivated DevOps Engineer to join our team and support the operation and further development of our text-recognition solution that has a focus on communication with local authorities. This role combines administrative and technical responsibilities, focusing on ensuring smooth operations, monitoring system performance and implementing improvements to optimize application reliability and accuracy. 

Your Responsibilities: 

• Operate, maintain, deploy and monitor our AI-powered text recognition application hosted on GCP 
• Enhance and refine the application's cloud architecture and resource mapping for scalability, cost-efficiency, and reliability. 
• Automate monitoring, alarming and incident resolution as much as possible 
• Integrate and manage partner system connections through REST APIs and API Gateways. 
• Support operating and maintaining LLM endpoints, hosted on Azure 
• Monitor the technical performance of the AI model, its statistical accuracy indicators and user feedback 
• Create and adjust Document intelligence models in Microsoft Azure 
• Ensure Operation by supporting Incident-, Problem- and Change management processes 
• Continuously improve Monitoring and Alarming Capabilities of the Application 
• Support the solving of Service Desk Tickets from our internal customers 
• Further develop and optimize simple rules in Python to improve application output quality. 
• Deploy and manage use cases through GitLab pipelines. 
• Integrate services to enhance application functionality and improve API management. 
• Perform administrative activities such as user management and technical activities such as network configuration, IaC deployment and service monitoring. 

Your Skills & Qualifications: 

Must have skills:

• Proffesional experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineering role at least for 3 years
• Strong expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and GCP services like Cloud Run, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), IAM, Cloud Storage, … and cloud operations (endpoints, DNS, firewalls, subnets, etc.). 
• Good understanding of infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform) is mandatory. 
• Proficiency with CI/CD workflows, preferably with GitLab CI. 
• Solid understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). 
• Good Python programming skills for rule development and automation scripting. 
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and process automation 
• Experience working in an Agile team environment 

 Nice to have skills:

• Knowledge about RAG Systems, LLM endpoint capabilities or ChromaDB is advantageous 
• Familiarity with API gateways and integrations. 
• Experience with observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ElasticSearch).
• Basic experience with Azure platform
