VMG Refit & Repair is a shipyard specialized in the refit and repair of superyachts and megayachts, located in the commercial port of Sagunto. We offer modern facilities and a high-capacity Shiplift, providing technical services based on the highest standards of engineering, safety, and quality. As part of the growth of our operations, we are looking for a Second Dock Master to reinforce our existing team.

About the Role

The Second Dock Master – Shiplift Operations will be responsible for supporting the planning, supervision, and execution of haul-out, launching, and dry movements. Immediate start.

Responsibilities

• Support the Dock Master in the management and supervision of all Shiplift operations.
• Design bedding and support plans based on the vessel's drawings and specifications, and supervise their correct construction and installation.
• Collaborate in the validation of haul-out plans, load distribution, structural supports, and transfer equipment.
• Review the vessel's stability and structural conditions prior to each maneuver and transfer phase.
• Coordinate activities with Engineering, HSQE, Operations, and Project Management.
• Supervise and lead the maneuvering team.
• Replace the main Dock Master when required.
• Contribute to preventive maintenance and periodic inspection of the Shiplift system and maneuvering equipment.
• Prepare, maintain, and update technical documentation, operational records, procedures, and checklists related to maneuvers.

Qualifications

• Naval Engineer, Captain, or Merchant Marine Officer.
• 3 to 5 years of experience.
• Knowledge of structures, stability, and load distribution.
• Experience with Shiplift or Syncrolift is a plus.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.

Required Skills

• Naval Engineering knowledge.
• Experience in Shiplift operations.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Syncrolift.
• Strong leadership and coordination skills.
