Description
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Product Designer to design useful, usable, and desirable features and applications. This is a hands-on designer role, where you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team that includes product managers, engineers, scientists, and business partners who share your passion for delivering unique, meaningful, and innovative healthcare data analytics products. The Product Designer is responsible for the design process from ideation to delivery.

Responsibilities
The following duties include, but are not limited to...

• Conduct brainstorming or whiteboarding sessions with stakeholders
• Measure the impact of the user experience from early designs to mature products
• Lead the creation of user flow, journey map, service blueprints, and other artifacts that help clarify the problem and solution
• Design and prototype information architecture (IA) solutions and designs
• Manage multiple projects across a range of applications and features
• Help build the design culture at Aetion, a Datavant company
• Build and manage the component library in partnership with Engineering

Qualifications
Required

• Minimum 7 years of experience as a product designer
• Self starter with 2+ years experience working in startups
• Bachelor or Master's degree in Human Factors, User Experience Design, HCI, Information Science, or related discipline
• Strong skills in interaction design, user experience, visual design
• Proficiency with standard wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Axure, etc.)
• Extensive experience in user-centered design
• Excellent conceptual, analytical and, problem solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Online or PDF portfolio
• Familiarity with working in agile teams

Preferred

• Experience in full lifecycle product design (from discovery to delivery)
• Knowledge of the pharma and life sciences industry or healthcare
• Experience in creating high-fidelity mockups using a design system
• Interest in or knowledge of user research techniques and services
• Interest in component libraries and tools like storybook

Strong proficiency in written and verbal English communication is essential.
