This job is hybrid, based in Madrid.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a sharp, organized and business-minded Business Operations & Finance Manager to become the operational backbone of our finance and business processes. This is not a traditional accounting role. We are looking for a "Business Controller" profile, someone who understands the link between a contract, a business transaction, and its financial outcome.
You will act as the critical interface between our commercial operations and our external CFO/Accounting teams,
ensuring that our financial data reflects the reality of our business model. This role requires a mix of strategic vision, technical expertise, and leadership skills.
Your key responsibilities
Business Logic & Contract Management (The Core)
Contract Ownership: Centralize and manage the repository of business contracts (Asset Partners, Wealth Managers, Clients).
- Fee Structure Control: Understand and track the fee structures (trailers, setup fees, etc.) defined in contracts to ensure accurate invoicing and revenue recognition.
- Standardization: Act as the gatekeeper for new contracts, ensuring they adhere to company standards before signing.

Financial Operations Interface
- Pre-Accounting & Data Flow: Translate business activity into structured data for the external accounting teams. You won't do the booking, but you will ensure the information reaching the accountants is perfect.
- Treasury Management: Organize and oversee the payment workflows (OpCos and SPVs). manage bank accounts, and prepare payment orders for approval.
- Audit Coordination: Manage the relationship with auditors (e.g., PWC) and service providers, ensuring documentation is uploaded to their tools on time and processes are followed.

Reporting & Controlling
- Process Optimization: Identify bottlenecks in our administrative flows (currently on Odoo/Hubspot) and propose improvements.
Your Skills
Background & Experience:
- Experience: 4-6 years of professional experience.
- Origin: Ideally coming from Big 4 (Consulting or Audit) or a reputable Transaction Services firm.
- Sector: Proven experience in Real Estate or Fund Management is highly desirable. You understand what an SPV is, how funds flow in real estate transactions, and the nature of asset management fees.
Skills & Mindset:
- Not a "Pure Accountant": You have financial literacy (you can read a P&L and understand a Balance Sheet), but your focus is on business operations, processes, and contracts.
- Structured & Efficient: You love order. You are capable of untangling legacy processes and setting up clean, efficient workflows.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in Excel. Experience with Odoo or HubSpot is a significant plus.
- Language: Fluent English is mandatory (daily working language). Spanish is required for local interactions.
