Legal Counsel

As we accelerate our growth, we're looking for a Legal Counsel to help us streamline our legal operations and manage our legal commercial and internal activities across our footprint.

Your Mission
The Legal Counsel serves as the central legal function for the company and is responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and executing legal work across the regions where the company operates. This includes Sweden, UK, USA, EU, and other markets. The purpose of this role is to:

• Provide E2E legal support across commercial, corporate, regulatory, employment and compliance matters.
• Manage and optimize external legal partners, ensuring cost efficiency and consistency (law firms, individual consultants, tax experts, etc)
• Enable commercial goals while safeguarding the company from legal risks.
• Maintain a scalable legal framework for growing internationally.

This isn't a standard Legal Counsel job - as a fast-growing scale-up, we operate in an uncertain, fast-moving, and challenging environment, in which no day is the same. You will collaborate directly with our Revenue team, and engage with customers to help us land the best deals. You will support us in our internal operations, from company legal structure to HR-related activities. You will be a crucial part of ensuring we drive the best commercial outcomes both for us, and our customers.

What You Will Do
You will report to the COO and work cross-functionally across the business. Your day-to-day would look like:

• Lead reviewing and negotiating all commercial contracts globally (customer agreements, partner contracts, licensing, NDAs)
• Ensure consistency of contract terms across all jurisdictions
• Support all Commercial and Product functions with deal enablement and contract management
• Own corporate governance for our entities
• Control filings and other materials that are required to keep our operations
• Own and control relationships with external corporate counsels in the different jurisdictions
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including GDPR, and other regulations applicable to the business
• Advise management on specific employment law and foreign law matters
• Build a structured legal operations function, ensuring that our commercial-related legal tasks are optimized to ensure our activity is not blocked by major mishaps.
• Proactive legal and tax guidance for international expansion and market entry.

*What You Bring To The Table*

• A bachelor's or Master's degree in Law
• Foreign-Law or studies/experience abroad is a plus.
• 5-7 years of experience in an international environment (SaaS, Tech, Digital, or regulated industries).
• Experience in Telecoms industry is a plus.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate governance, and overall regulatory work.
• Experience coordinating external law firms across multiple countries.
• Complete fluency in English (written and spoken). Additional languages (e.g. Swedish, Spanish, German, Portuguese) are a plus.
• Experience working in full international setups, where working across regions is the norm and not the exception.
• Experience setting up Legal functions or scaling them efficiently.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup/scaleup or similar environments.
• An adaptable and resilient approach to work, ready to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Extrem curiosity about learning new things every day and being challenged.
• A "prestigeless" personality - no one is above anyone or any tasks.
