Job Overview

We are seeking an Senior Finance/Asset Management Analyst to join our team in Madrid. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in both the operational and financial performance of our real estate developments. This is a multidisciplinary role that includes project coordination, financial modeling, accounting oversight, bank financing processes, reporting, and data analysis. The candidate will serve as a key support to senior management, ensuring accurate financial information, strong project monitoring, and seamless communication with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operational Responsibilities

  • 360° Project Coordination: Support and coordinate projects post-acquisition through development and sale, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
  • Third-Party Management: Liaise with consultants, contractors, agents, and service providers to ensure efficient execution and alignment across all project fronts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, sales, marketing, and technical teams to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks related to cost, timing, legal matters, and operations, proposing mitigation strategies and ensuring compliance.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Reporting: Present financial and project updates clearly and confidently to internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring complex information is digestible and actionable.

Financial Responsibilities

  • Financial Modeling: Create and maintain detailed financial models for ongoing development projects, including cash flows, cost tracking, sensitivity analyses, and scenario modeling related to timing and budget deviations.
  • Quarterly & Annual Closings: Assist in overseeing the quarterly and annual closings of SPV financial statements, addressing accounting-related questions and ensuring accuracy of financial information.
  • Accounting Oversight: Act as the first review filter before information reaches senior management, ensuring consistency, correctness, and completeness across accounting reports and inputs.
  • Bank Financing & Project Monitoring: Lead the preparation, monitoring, and reporting required for financing processes, including development/CapEx loan negotiations, drawdowns, and compliance reporting for lenders.
  • Reporting: Prepare project performance reports (KPIs, cost follow-up, milestones, cash flows) for senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Data Analysis: Collect and interpret project, market, and financial data to support strategic decision-making.
  • Cash Flow Management: Participate in the monthly cash-flowing exercise, including closing and reconciling prior-month cash movements and projecting future cash flows at both the fund and SPV level, to assess liquidity needs and support treasury planning.

Requirements

  • Prior real estate experience is mandatory. 4/5 years of experience in asset management, real estate finance, consulting, or a similar analytical role
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency in financial modeling (Excel required)
  • Prior experience related to accounting review, audit processes, or financial statement understanding is a strong plus
  • Experience in loan monitoring or bank financing processes is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
