- About the role: We are looking for a Technical Product Specialist to serve as the technical subject matter expert for our Weather Data and Power Forecasting solutions, bridging the gap between customers, product teams, and commercial stakeholders. In this role, you will be critically involved in product demonstration, discovery, and delivery, ensuring our solutions meet market needs and drive business growth. What you will do: Act as the technical expert for Weather Data and Power Forecasting products, supporting sales, product development, and customer successDeliver technical product demonstrations and presentations to customers and prospects globally Provide training to internal teams and customers on product usage and industry conceptsSupport sales and customer success teams by addressing technical inquiries, troubleshooting issues to ensure timely resolution and customer satisfaction, and providing actionable feedback to the product team for continuous improvementCollect and analyze customer feedback, translate technical requirements into actionable insights, and ensure seamless product evolution and integration to meet market needs.Contribute to product discovery and delivery by validating technical elements and shaping new featuresMaintain accurate technical documentation and integration guidelines in partnership with product and go-to-market teamsShare insights and thought leadership at industry events and conferences

About you: You bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience interpreting complex datasets and turning insights into actionable outcomes. You communicate technical concepts clearly and confidently to non-technical audiences, ensuring alignment across diverse stakeholders. Collaboration is second nature to you—you thrive in cross-functional environments and enjoy working closely with product teams, sales, and customers. You operate with a strong product mindset, balancing technical feasibility with business impact to shape solutions that deliver real value. Customer centricity drives your approach: you actively seek and integrate feedback to inform decisions and guide continuous product evolution, ensuring our offerings meet market needs and exceed expectations. Qualifications: Educational background in Meteorology or another relevant field such as Engineering, Physics, Data Science, or a related technical discipline At least 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas: renewable energy (solar or wind), utilities and grid operations, energy trading and market analytics, power generation and asset management, or meteorological and weather data service providersProven track record applying meteorology or engineering principles to: power forecasting models, weather or energy data analysis, energy trading, grid operations or dispatching, optimization of power generation assets, or meteorological and weather data Understanding of statistics and probabilistic forecasting methodsFamiliarity with APIs and associated testing tools such as PostmanScripting capability using Python or similar languagesFluency in written and spoken English Nice to have: Experience delivering technical product demonstrations and training in a commercial setting Experience collaborating with product teams to shape features and roadmap decisionsAbility to represent the company externally through technical articles, webinars, or speaking engagements at industry events Security and compliance with statutory requirements in the countries in which we operate is essential for DNV.
