OverviewEntrix is hiring an Energy Market Expert Iberia (d/f/m) based in Madrid, Spain.
In this role you will act as our subject matter expert for all aspects regarding the Iberian market access — from regulatory compliance and policy research to strategic positioning and decision-making — ensuring that our products and trading strategies align with the evolving Iberian energy landscape.Location and DetailsLocation: Madrid, SpainEmployment Type: Full-Time, indefinite termWorking Mode: Office work setup with expectations to travel (stakeholder meetings in Iberia and strategic alignments with our headquarters in Munich)Language Requirements: Spanish – C2 (native or fluent), English – C1/C2 (full professional proficiency).
Portuguese – B1 or higher is a plusYour ResponsibilitiesLead our efforts to develop and continuously update our internal expertise on the Iberian power market and its regulatory framework, becoming a key point of reference for internal teams and external stakeholdersEnsure an in-depth understanding of market rules and mechanics relevant for operating battery storage (e.g., market communication processes, metering concepts, dispatch rules)Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and software engineers to ensure our solution captures the full (financial) potential of flexibility in the Iberian energy marketCollaborate with commercial and operations teams to bring the full value of our solution to customersProvide actionable insights, requirements and strategic recommendations to Product and Commercial teams, aligning product development with market needs and regulatory trendsCollaborate with local partners and external stakeholders such as regulators, grid operators, and market participants to influence policy, secure access, and maintain a strategic market positionYour ProfileMandatory RequirementsBackground in Energy Policy, Economics, Sustainability, or related areas7+ years of experience in energy market analysis, policy research, or regulatory affairs in SpainDeep expertise in Iberian energy trading regulations and market structuresProven ability to interpret complex policies and forecast market trends with strong analytical skillsExperience working within cross-functional teams with data scientists, software engineers, and product managersProactive, creative and solution-oriented with strong attention to detailStrong communication skills and a target-oriented approachEntrepreneurial mindset and willingness to drive things forwardSpanish – C2, English – C1/C2; Portuguese – B1+ is a plusSkills to Set You ApartExperience with grid operators, power exchanges, and/or regulatory bodiesExperience with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)Strong network within the Spanish and/or Portuguese energy industryExperience collaborating in cross-functional teams, shaping product and market strategiesDetail-oriented with a strategic mindset in a complex regulatory landscapeYour ContactYour contact person is Nagihan Bal (******).
