We are looking for a
Data Engineer
to join our team for a multinational leader in the
financial sector
.


Key Responsibilities:


• Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines using SQL and Databricks.


• Implement data ingestion and transformation workflows using Spark in distributed environments.


• Ensure data governance, lineage, and data integrity across all stages of the architecture.


• Collaborate with Data Engineering, Risk, Technology, and Business teams to deliver integrated data solutions.


• Contribute to the automation of manual processes and modernization of legacy reporting tools through scalable code.


Skills

Essential:


• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or data management in financial services or big data environments.


• Proven expertise in SQL development (complex queries, optimization, CTEs, window functions).


• Practical experience with Databricks, Spark, or equivalent distributed platforms.


• Strong understanding of data modeling, normalization, and data quality practices.


• Proficiency with Excel, VBA, and Microsoft Office Suite.


• STEM degree (Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, etc.).


• High level of English.

Desirable:


• Additional training or certifications in data or cloud technologies.


• Experience working in cloud-based data ecosystems.
