As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be immersed in designing and implementing scalable platforms that power our global promotions and incentives programs. Your work will involve leading complex integration projects across multiple teams, driving architectural decisions that impact millions of customers, and building solutions for multi-marketplace deployment. You'll work with a modern technology stack that includes React for frontend development, Java and Python for backend services, and various AWS services including DynamoDB, API Gateway, Lambda, and SQS, along with internal systems like Coral Service.
This role presents a unique opportunity to work directly with senior engineering leadership while shaping the future of B2B commerce at Amazon scale. You'll be at the forefront of driving innovation in one of Amazon's most rapidly growing business units, with direct impact on our global expansion strategies and the evolution of how businesses worldwide conduct commerce.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence
- Experience in development in the last 3 years, or experience in professional, non-internship software development
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
- +3 years of experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
