BME is the infrastructure of all the securities markets and financial systems in Spain and is owned by SIX.
As a Network Engineer you will contribute within the team to monitor and execute the daily operational activities of multiple networks and systems. The NOC global team handles tasks such as provide support and dispatch requests, engage in proactive network systems monitoring, resource coordination and interdepartmental communication, as well as resolving a portion of incoming support cases and report issues that NOC is unable to resolve without further collaboration get escalated to core IT teams and/or vendor support groups.
**What You Will Do**:
- identification, isolation, tracking, resolution, and documentation of network issues
- work alongside different teams to support our customers (both external and internal)
- actively monitor critical network elements and react immediately to potential issues or outages
- assist other teams in case of support requests that requires escalation
- deploy equipment and its required connectivity in our data centers
**What You Bring**:
- completed professional training in the field of computer science. A higher education or bachelor degree in computer science, or a related discipline, is not mandatory but an advantage
- positive, proactive, collaborating attitude and a good teamwork mindset
- some experience with Cisco products and technologies
- availability to work in afternoon and night shifts. This service is economically compensated
- fluent written and spoken English skills (B2 minimum) to interact with the international colleagues
