**ROLE SUMMARY**:
**Mirabal International School**, a prestigious international school located in Boadilla del Monte, Madrid, and part of the Inspired Education Group, is seeking to appoint a **Secondary English Coordinator**.- This is a strategic leadership role, ideal for an experienced educator with strong academic credentials, proven team management skills, and a passion for innovative teaching and learning. The position combines academic coordination with classroom teaching responsibilities.**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Lead the Secondary English Department, ensuring academic consistency and high standards across all levels.-
Design and implement improvement plans, innovative methodologies, and effective assessment strategies.-
Support, mentor and evaluate the teaching team, fostering a collaborative and reflective working culture.-
Coordinate the English curriculum across the Secondary stage, including preparation for external examinations and certifications.-
Teach English to Secondary students and contribute to the broader academic life of the school.-
Communicate effectively with parents, senior leadership, and cross-departmental teams.-
Promote interdisciplinary projects and cultural activities related to English language and literature.**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
Native level of English.-
A university degree and a Master’s in Education (or equivalent recognised teaching qualification).-
Significant experience teaching English in Secondary education, preferably in bilingual or international school settings.-
A strong track record in academic coordination, team leadership or middle management roles.-
In-depth knowledge of active methodologies, assessment for learning, and modern language pedagogy.-
Excellent organisational, interpersonal and communication skills.-
A passion for educational excellence and student-centred learning.-
