**ARQUIMEA Research Center (ARC)**,** part of **ARQUIMEA** **,** was born in 2019 with the aim of inventing the technologies of tomorrow. An environment of innovation and excellence at European level from which senior and junior researchers from around the world **develop disruptive technologies and business models** that will serve as an engine of socio-economic growth in the medium and long term.

**Tasks to be performed**:

- Perform in-depth optical link characterization and integration across various development stages.
- Define and manage cross-subsystem interfaces (e.g., OBDH, SDR, PCDU).
- Support end-to-end optical architecture definition and validation.
- Analyze and ensure compliance with environmental constraints for space missions.
- Collaborate with electronics, mechanical, and software teams to ensure system coherence.
- Generate technical documentation and support reviews and testing campaigns.
- Proven experience in **characterization and integration of optical links**.
- Solid background in **optical systems design and sizing**, especially for space-based telescopes.
- Practical knowledge of **space optical system architectures**.
- Familiarity with **optical communication protocols and standards** (e.g., **SDA**, **CCSDS**).
- Ability to define and manage cross-functional interfaces.
- Understanding of **environmental constraints** for space missions (thermal, radiation, vibration, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

**Additionally, we will also value experience in the following areas**:

- Experience with optical design software such as **ZEMAX** or equivalent.
- Familiarity with system engineering methodologies and model-based design tools.
- Experience in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary aerospace or defense environment.
