We, at Shalion, enable brands to make smarter business decisions in eCommerce, based on actionable data and insights providing information on online product prices, availability, share of search, etc. in more than 800 e-retailers and 50 different countries. Our client portfolio includes industry giants such as Heineken, Lego, Danone, and Nestlé.

**Your responsibilities as Head of Data Classification will include**:

- Lead the data classification team
- currently a team of approximately 13 people - mostly based in Argentina.
- Implement continuous improvement systems and find out-of-the-box solutions for complex technical problems.
- Keep abreast of new releases and product functionality to ensure successful implementation for clients (sources for innovation).
- Set up procedures and working standards to make sure all the projects are delivered on time.
- Coordinate multiple, simultaneous projects, ensuring project expectations/timelines are met, and issues are addressed.

**Your profile should include the following**:

- Deep understanding of taxonomies.
- Sound understanding of metrics, and will have the ability to set up KPIs and establish or improve workflows.
- Degree in Mathematics, Science, Technology, Linguistics, Library Science or related.
- Strong logical and analytical thinking, you love challenges and finding out-of-the-box solutions.
- Excel advanced level.
- Comfortable challenging the current state of things and leading process improvements and innovation.
- Strong project, time, and organizational management skills.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English, spoken and written. Other languages are a plus.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Quick thinker, pragmatic, adaptable, innovative problem solver, self-motivated and interested in technology.
- Available to travel 2 weeks/ 3 times per quarter.

**Nice to have**:

- Experience managing remote teams.
- Technical skills: Regex
- Familiarity with SQL
