Look at the BSC experience: BSC-CNS YouTube Channel Let's stay connected with BSC Folks We promote Equity, Diversity and Inclusion, fostering an environment where each and every one of us is appreciated for who we are, regardless of our differences. **Context And Mission** - Esta contratación está financiada por el proyecto Quantum_Spain (Real Decreto 936/2021 del 26 de octubre Y Real Decreto 536/2025 del 26 de octubre), financiado por el Ministerio de Asuntos Económicos y Transformación Digital en el marco de la agenda España Digital 2025 y del Plan de Recuperación, Transformación y Resiliencia -Financiado por la Unión Europea-Next Generation EU **Key Duties** - Develop quantum software for quantum molecular simulations. - Run quantum molecular simulations using quantum simulators and the current quantum computing infrastructure at BSC. - Explore current quantum protein representations and design new representations. **Requirements**: - Education - MS’s Master’s in Quantum Computing - Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Strong understanding of quantum computing fundamentals. - Experience with programming in quantum computing frameworks and quantum computing algorithms (e.g., VQE, QAOA, Grover’s). - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Understanding of proteins molecular structure and dynamics. - Experience with classical molecular simulation techniques. - Familiarity with coding and documentation best practices and standards. - Familiarity with HPC architectures. - Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git). - Excellent level of English. - Competences - Communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to take initiative and collaborate effectively. - A proactive and thoughtful approach to problem-solving. - High motivation, curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning. - Team work. **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Until 31/03/2026 - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: 01/11/2025 **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English including contact details - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
