**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The student will develop exceptional skills and expertise in the areas of electrochemical engineering and materials science during his/her studies.

**Main job functions**:

- Design and conduct experiments to study the ageing mechanisms in commercial sodium-ion batteries.
- Analyse experimental data to identify key degradation pathways in anodes, cathodes, and electrolytes.
- Develop and implement computational models to simulate ageing processes.
- Collaborate with team members and external partners to validate findings.
- Present research findings at conferences and publish results in high-impact scientific journals.
- Contribute to the overall research activities of the department and participate in group meetings.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTITUTION**:

- A Master's degree (or equivalent that entitles to join a Doctoral Program) in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or a related field.
- Strong background in electrochemistry, battery technology, and materials characterization techniques.
- Experience in computational modelling and simulation of electrochemical systems is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
