**Education and qualifications**:
**Required**:

- Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or a related field.
- Fluency in Spanish, English (business level)

**Desired**:

- Experience in handling drug-condition databases (DrugBank, ChEMBL, TTD,).
- Experience in programming in MATLAB.
- Experience in network analysis of biological systems.
- Experience in in-silico simulations of drug efficacy analysis (PBPK modeling,).
- Previous experience in a research setting funded by the EU-funded H2020 program.

**Experience and knowledge**:
**Required**:

- Expertise in data-processing programming languages, such as R and Python.
- Experience in pipelines and methods of analysis of omics data (microarrays, RNA-Seq, proteomics, scRNA-Seq, metabolomics, miRNA,).
- Experience in statistical analysis applied to medical settings.
- Experience in Machine Learning-based data analysis methods.

**Main responsibilities and duties**:
Provide bioinformatics support for the H2020 DISCOvERIE project with the following tasks:

- Molecular data integration (transcriptomics, proteomics and genomics). Dissect gene-disease relations based on an existing pathological protein network model (MATLAB based).
- Clinical data curation, machine learning approaches to identify biomarkers. Interpretation of results in the context of existing knowledge.
- Reporting of results following EU schemes, preparation of deliverables and dissemination materials.
- Prepare a scientific publication.

**Labour conditions**:

- Full-time position: 40h/week.
- Starting date: immediately.
- Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale).
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities.
