**ROLE SUMMARY**:

- The British College of Gava (BCG), an IB World School just 20 minutes from central Barcelona, is seeking a passionate and experienced **English Literature Teacher** to join our growing Secondary school team from **August 2025**.- **KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
Teach English Literature to A-Level and/or IBDP English A level-
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that foster a love of literature-
Support and challenge students to achieve outstanding academic outcomes-
Use assessment data effectively to inform planning and support progress-
Collaborate with colleagues in curriculum development and school initiatives-
Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular activities**THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:
**Essential**:
Qualified Teacher Status (UK or equivalent)-
Minimum of 3 years' experience teaching English Literature at A-Level or IBDP English A (not EAL or second language)-
Native-level English speaker-
Strong academic background in English or Literature-
A student-centred approach and alignment with the school’s values**Desirable**:
Experience teaching within the IB programme (particularly English A: Language & Literature or Literature)-
Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification in a related field-
