This activity will be carried out in the context of a project part of the EUropean-CANadian Cancer network (EUCANCan) that aims to enable Personalized Medicine in Oncology by promoting the generation and sharing of harmonized genomic data. This activity will also design and implement a pilot integration of data infrastructures in a national and international environment within the project IMPaCT (Infraestructura de Medicina de Precisión). **Key Duties** - Research of bioinformatics tools that meet the analysis needs of the group and collaborative projects - Development and automation of genomic data analysis pipelines in HPC environments. - Benchmarking of bioinformatic tools - Development and automation of genomic data analysis pipelines - Management and integration of the results of different pipelines - Genomic analysis **Requirements**: - Education - Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biotechnology, Physics, Mathematics or related discipline - Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience - Knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments - Experience with some of the following languages: Python, Bash, R - Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience - Knowledge of bioinformatics/cancer genomics - Experience in High-Performance Computing - Knowledge or experience in Machine Learning - Fluency in spoken and written English - Competences - Good communication and presentation skills. **Conditions** - The position will be located at BSC within the Life Sciences Department - We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures - Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration - Holidays: 23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement - Starting date: 01/04/2025 **Applications procedure and process** - A full CV in English, including contact details. - A cover/motivation letter with a statement of interest in English, clearly specifying for which specific area and topics the applicant wishes to be considered.
