Job summary

The EU Sustainability team is looking for a purpose driven TCFD Lead, to coordinate the implementation of Amazon's climate risk strategy, and support related reporting requirements across the EU and UK.

Key job responsibilities

Responsibilities will include a cross-functional collaboration with central Sustainability teams, business teams and central support functions (especially Finance, Accounting and Legal) across the company on streamlined, mechanisms to effectively manage climate risk in line with the Taskforce for Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) recommendations. You will be a central point of contact for a large number of stakeholders across the UK and EU as part of a global team. You will be responsible for reinforcing and shaping a holistic, innovative vision and integrating a “business as usual” mindset across Amazon.

This role requires you to have a cutting edge understanding of best practice across the four pillars of the TCFD recommendations in the context of external reporting requirements. You will collaborate with internal and external experts and tech teams on the development of organizational climate scenario analysis, and tools for the assessment of climate risk and opportunity. You will support business teams on the integration of these tools as well as the identification of key metrics and KPI’s and associated strategic considerations. You will also support on TCFD reporting strategies, and create and improve mechanisms and roadmaps that will delight internal and external customers.

To succeed in this role, you will integrate your expertise in climate risk with the ability to handle ambiguity and integrate fast change. Your sense of Ownership will be enhanced by a capacity to drive innovative thinking, collaboration with teams, integrate a strategic vision, decision-making and ability to influence.

About the team

This role is part of a fast-growing global team within the central Amazon Sustainability organization. Based in the EU (or UK), working virtually or onsite in line with company policy, you will be working at pace in an open and supportive environment with other team members and stakeholders across the company.
