**Position Background**:
In the GMT Advanced Analytics organization our mission is to deliver impact by building machine learning products to optimize pricing and marketing investments and provide guidance to HP's commercial sales organizations.
Our team consists of a diverse global team of economists, statisticians, data scientists, data engineers, software engineers, DevOps, and MLOps engineers, who are pushing the innovation frontier to bring new insights to our business.
Working with us you will use your Software Development best practices to deliver ML models to a production environment at scale.
Please note that it's **a fixed-term role with a 12 month contract**. Extension to permanent position is possible but not guarantee.
**Responsibilities**:
- Work with software engineers to understand systems and craft interfaces to models for deployment
- Validate and optimize machine learning models, possibly utilizing new model architectures, optimization techniques or objective functions
**Job Requirements**:
- Fluent in the Python language
- Knowledge of Computer Science and Engineering Principles including algorithms, data structures, software architecture and design
- Knowledge in CI/CD pipelines, i.e., GitHub actions, and GitHub workflows
- Ability to work independently under a fast-paced environment and deliver results under pressure
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science
- Curiosity, a methodical approach and the ability to be a self-starter
