**The Role**
As the Head of Facultative Casualty for Europe, you will be responsible for creating and growing WTW’s facultative casualty book across the region. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a critical area, leveraging your expertise to expand our footprint, build new relationships, and develop innovative risk transfer solutions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing and developing WTW’s facultative casualty book in Europe, with a focus on business growth and market presence.
- Driving strategic initiatives to identify and capture new opportunities, collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Building and nurturing relationships with cedants, reinsurers, and other key stakeholders to secure profitable partnerships.
- Educating and mobilizing WTW teams across Europe to integrate facultative casualty solutions into their offerings, ensuring alignment with client needs.
- Negotiating optimal terms and conditions for facultative casualty reinsurance placements, securing the best outcomes for clients.
- Preparing and presenting comprehensive submissions to reinsurers, tailored to meet client and cedant requirements.
- Overseeing governance and administration of facultative casualty reinsurance deals, ensuring compliance and smooth operations.
- Staying ahead of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to position WTW as a leader in the European facultative casualty market.
**Qualifications**:
**About You**
Key qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience within the insurance industry).
- Extensive experience in facultative casualty reinsurance, with a demonstrated ability to develop business opportunities.
- Deep understanding of insurance and reinsurance principles, risk assessment, and pricing.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and execute strategic plans.
- Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English (additional European languages are a plus).
