As a DevOps Engineer you will join the the global Architecture and Technology organization in the Madrid IT Hub helping us shape and continue our growth in DevOps adoption, with Azure DevOps and especially with GitHub. We set the policies, practices and examples that are adopted by the organization, so it is a role with high impact potential.
We are not looking for a rockstar, but for something more solid, someone with some experience already that wants to develop and learn in a multinational environment and lead the way in introducing improvements in our current processes.
The Architecture and Technology team is composed of skilled individuals who operate in a complex environment collaborating together and wearing multiple hats in any given week. Sounds like you?
**Qualifications**:
**Primary responsibilities**
- Help design, evolve and mature the DevOps practices in SGS
- Migrate and improve projects onto GitHub, including improving current ways of doing CI/CD and adopting Shift-left
- Be an expert and point of contact to support teams in their adoption of DevOps
- Management and administration of our DevOps platforms
- Support other developers and managers from across the organization to evangelize DevOps
- Write good GitHub style documentation
**Required Skills**:
- Experienced with managing DevOps tools and building CI/CD pipelines with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub
- Experienced in Azure Cloud, especially PaaS offerings
- Experience / Knowledge of IaC with any of the following: Bicep, Terraform, ARM or similar
- Develop documentation to help SGS developer community
- Review and advise on technical specifications and designs
- Stay current with new services and trends in the market
- Any experience with Kubernetes or AKS is beneficial
**Your profile**
- Mid / senior experience level, 2+ years of experience in DevOps environments and workstreams
- You have some prior programming experience and understand the perspective of the developer teams and the importance of developer experience
- You have some experience in international companies and projects
- Able to work effectively in highly remote setups
- Able to work solo or as part of small teams
- Good communication skills
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Proactive, team oriented
