**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
CIC energiGUNE is seeking for a postdoctoral researcher to join the Degradation Mechanisms, Ageing, and Safety of Batteries Research Group.

**Main functions**:

- Identification and understanding of the degradation mechanisms in lithium metal batteries (LMBs) by advanced characterization techniques.
- Electrochemical characterization and in depth analysis of LMBs.
- Study of interphases and interfaces evolution on LMBs.
- Design and perform destructive part analysis (post mortem) of LMBs.

**DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTITUTION**:

- PhD in Electrochemistry, Materials Science or similar. Applications with Doctor of Engineering with specialization in interphases and/or electrochemistry are also welcome
- Strong knowledge in degradation mechanisms on batteries.
- Strong knowledge in electrochemistry.
- Critical thinker and problem solver with preffered interest in technology transfer.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English are essential.
- The following additional experience and skills will be highly valued:_
- Expertise in Lithium metal batteries.
- Experience in the study of interphases.
