**About the unit**
The Accounting Unit is part of the Department of Economic Management and Administration. The unit manages, values and records the economic transactions carried out by the institution in order to prepare complete and reliable reports in accordance with current legislation. All activities related to the management of fixed assets, taxes, cash management and reporting the financial figures to the various stakeholders like Generalitat, Financial Auditors, clients and suppliers are also carried out by this Unit.
**About the role**
The Accounting Manager makes daily accounting registers, tax, analysis, business partnership and gives support to the Head of Accounting.
This position reports directly to the Head of Accounting & Reporting.
Main duties and responsibilities will be the following:
- Make day-to-day aspects of the business’s accounting and reporting functions.
- To ensure the accuracy of monthly closing for general accounting, accounts payable and treasury.
- Fill up tax forms and settlements.
- Elaborate the monthly and annual required financial information and KPI’s to be sent to the Executive Team and Stakeholders.
- Elaborate the financials for the budget at IDIBELL.
- Support with the statutory financial audit.
- To ensure the effectiveness of the financial procedures and internal controls.
- Give full support to the Head of Accounting & Reporting.
**Job requirements**
Professional experience
- Minimum 1 year previous experience in Accounting and Tax within a Compan
- 2-3 years working for a Big-Four Audit firm.
Education and training
- University Degree: Bachelor's degree in Economics or Business Administration
Technical skills
- ERP expertise, preferable Fundanet
- Excel expertise
Languages
- Good command of the English language
