Local Procurement Lead

We are looking for action and customer-oriented Local Project Procurement Lead to support our Procurement Teams for Systems and Software Solutions. This a great opportunity for people with Engineering, Business Administration, and/or International Commerce background.

Reporting to the Procurement & Shared Services Manager, the Local Project Procurement Lead will be part of the European procurement team and will have overall responsibility for strategically engaging with the suppliers for Iberia projects (Spain & Portugal). Single point of contact for managing vendor’s goods and professional services such as materials management, procurement, commercial negotiations, expediting, inspections, logistics and project closure throughout the complete project lifecycle. This position will take the lead in generating supplier related cost reduction initiatives; analyzing and reporting on optimization of costs incurred during projects execution. Permanent Improvement, Processes & Compliance, and Reporting will be also part of the tasks assigned to this role.

**IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL**:

- Act as single point of contact between the Procurement team and the Project and Engineering team during execution.
- Work with cross-functional team to manage supplier qualification status and performance (Procurement Cluj Hub).
- Prepare and issue enquiries, requisitions, and purchase orders according to project schedule
- Manage strategic buy-out plan.
- Identify and develop opportunities to reduce the cost and delivery time of materials and services.
- Coordinate procurement activities during the proposal and project execution phase (Buy-out)
- Run and analyse material status reports and communicate risks and problem areas to Project Manager on regular basis.
- Develop Project Procurement Strategy aligned with overall Project Execution Strategy.
- Negotiate with Suppliers to obtain globally competitive price, delivery, and contract terms.
- Lead timely resolution of escalated supplier issues.
- Assist in the request for quotation (RFQ) process.
- Participate in bid and market analyse.
- Provide input in the supplier recommendation and selection.

**FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL NEED**:

- University degree in Business Administration, International Commerce or Engineering.
- 4-6 years of relevant work experience within the process control and automation industry/ technical / engineering business environment (Detailed practical knowledge of Procurement and the vendor selection process).
- High level of commercial acumen.
- Experience in issuance and managing execution of requisitions/purchase orders for material, equipment, and services.
- Ability to read and write key elements of commercial contracts.
- Ability to work with, influence and communicate with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels
- Experience of managing multiple categories of spend.
- Be an action oriented, self-motivated, results driven person.
- Local language (Spanish) skills and good command of English language (written and spoken).

This position may require some travel.
