As a Cloud Solutions Architect, you'll become a member of the Sanoma Learning **TechOps team** which provides infrastructure for the Customer Facing Application teams. You'll work with an international team of Cloud Engineers and Architects on **designing, building, planning, and overseeing Sanoma’s cloud setup and infrastructure**. Together you’ll **build components to harmonize and modularize all the learning platforms** within the company. You’ll work with a diverse and talented team of engineers, architects, and developers using cutting-edge technologies and tools to create innovative learning solutions. **Responsibilities**:
As a Cloud Architect, you will:
- Lead and manage the AWS cloud architecture and solutions for several projects within Sanoma Learning
- Design, build and implement cloud infrastructure and services that are secure, scalable, reliable, and cost-effective
- Ensure compliance with cloud best practices, standards, and policies
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, development teams, and external partners on cloud strategy and vision
- Mentor and coach other cloud engineers, developers and architects on cloud technologies and methodologies
**Requirements**:
- Extensive and up-to-date knowledge of **AWS cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS certified**:
- At least** 3-5 years of experience as an Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer, or DevOps Engineer**:
- In-depth experience with **containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes**:
- Experience with **Infrastructure as Code (IaC)**:
- Developmental mindset as well as drive and speed to bring things forward independently
- A background in **networking and security**, it’s in your nature to keep security and privacy in mind
- Experience with multiple** DevOps tools for CI/CD, Code Repositories and Automation**:
- Ability to **advise, inform and decide AWS cloud services and best practices**:
- Excellent written and spoken command of **English**
It would be nice if you also have:
- Experience with AWS CloudFormation, ArchoCD and Karpenter, Terraform, Helm.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure (multi-cloud setup)
- Preferably certified on AWS and Kubernetes
