The Director of New Product Development is responsible to lead the regional strategy and intersection of operational and product standards and growth initiatives.

**Responsibilities & Requirements**:

- Develop and manage regional product strategies and contribute and align with global product strategies in reflection of changing market conditions
- Understand changing market requirement of customers
- Define portfolio needs to meet market requirements
- Understand regional regulatory and certification requirements for products
- Define nationalistic local content requirements
- Translate and Commercialize strategies into actionable investments such as: New Product Development (R&D), Sales Tools, New Sales Channels, Sales Training, Customer Marketing (MarComm), Operational Efficiency (CIP), etc
- Align with operations on key project activities to launch products successfully in the region
- Provide support for regional M&A target activities and integration plans
- Build and own Bookings AOP per growth commitments with the regional commercial team
- Bridge commercial account planning and ABM (account-based marketing) approach to enable growth plans
- Ownership of specific market segment growth plans
- Operational product manufacturing strategy (where to build which product, make vs buy)
- Customer experience priority and goals in full lifecycle approach
- Product Governance and Health ensuring the following:

- Provide assurance of uniform quality from global facilities to customers.
- Minimize product design variance.
- Maintain product readiness standard for drawings/items/BOM
- Reduce freight and shipping costs.
- Reduce lead-times due to localization.
- Minimize the effects of global capacity constraints. (Optimize global capacity utilization through RCCP)
- Control of product design, cost & quality.
- Effective utilization and prioritization of Low Cost Sourcing / Pattern Management etc.
- Facilitate effective product transfers
- Optimize inventory
- Streamline M&A new products/facilities
- Other duties as assigned

**Preferred Experience / Skills**:

- Experience with manufacturing and product marketing preferably in pumps, valves and seals
- Experience with customers in the target region
- Engineering and/or business degree
- Travel required up to 50%
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 10+ years relevant experience
