**IT Specialist - Global Laboratory Management System**

**IT Specialist - Global Laboratory Management System**

Responsible for Global Laboratory Management System implementation for EMEA plants and integration with Bausch Pharma IT environment. This role will assist in all aspects of project management coordination including project scope, development, tracking, and reporting.

The position requires business knowledge and system knowledge with an understanding of global regulations for validated systems and best-practices in supporting Laboratory Management Systems.

Fixed-term contract for 12 months with possibility to prolong.

**SCOPE AND CORE RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Has overall responsibility for maintenance and enhancements of the GLIMS system.
- Co-ordinate business and IT GLIMS strategic improvements for site/region
- Acts as liaison between Business, IT, SQA & Vendor to drive/coordinate changes and projects per the strategic direction.
- Support, as an extension to, the global GLIMS support team.
- Understand and support the GLIMS configuration specific to Bausch Pharama.
- Provides feedback to Business Owner and team on when changes or maintenance releases are necessary or recommended for implementation
- Monitors production (and other) environments to ensure robust availability and reliability.
- Manage Regression test activities across the sites, coordinating activities with the Superuser community, Business Management and other applicable Application Support Teams.
- Works with other team members to provide guidance on what is possible from a functionality perspective, what type of timelines would be required for projects, provide guidance on resources required, and work with vendor when necessary to determine timelines, cost and options.
- Support processes integrations with internal systems.
- Administer ‘blockages’ in GLIMS and business process e.g. release blocked Samples, update data on request etc.
- ‘fix’ connections with connected laboratory devices.

**EPERIENCE AND SKILL SETS PREFERRED**
- Minimum of 5 years IT experience in supporting computerized systems
- Experience with Pharma laboratory environment.
- Ability to liaise between various non-technical business units and IT
- Excellent communicator with the ability to work at all levels
- Experience working in Europe in different cultures
- Project management skills
- Positive attitude and longing for results are essential qualities
- Analytical and creative, able to offer new ideas and perspectives to the situation
- Fluent in Polish and English.
