The Application Engineer Prepress is responsible for being the customer's advocate internally & an Esko advocate externally - ensuring an effortless onboarding software experience - and will be based in Spain (remote).
**In this role, a typical day will look like**:
- After a quick alignment with the customer's IT department, you will install the software and then train the users, developing configurations and workflows tailored to their needs.
- You have excellent listening skills and the ability to interpret customer needs and manage customer expectations.
- You'll use a proactive approach to problem-solving and your analytical mindset
- You love to learn, plugging in to the latest trends and mastering the newest technologies
- Willingness to travel (up to an average of 70% of traveling within Iberia, depending on customer’s needs, including spending on average 40% of the time away from home. Occasionally traveling outside Iberia e.g. to receive training)
**The essential requirements of the job include**:
- 2+ years of experience in prepress for packaging, workflow administrator for prepress automation systems or Esko software (Automation Engine, WebCenter.), handling complex technical issues with customers and/or suppliers
- Fluency in Spanish (native speaker level) and English
- Formal qualification in print/prepress (in similar business like commercial printing) is an asset
