Principal Cloud Engineer

We design, build and operate traffic management systems including connected vehicles technology and mobility demand management as well as tolling services for cities, roads, tunnels and bridges around the world. We are looking for a** Principal Cloud Engineer **to join our team

**Your responsibilities**:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure platform infrastructures for both large and small-scale traffic.
- Utilize automation tools like Terraform to manage infrastructure as code.
Manage containers and orchestrators like Kubernetes for efficient and scalable deployments.
- Optimize infrastructure costs without compromising scalability and performance.
- Keep infrastructure updated with the latest technologies and best practices. Participate in troubleshooting and capacity planning of the infrastructure. Document procedures and configurations of the infrastructure to ensure replicability and scalability.
- Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of continuous deployment systems based on Jenkins, optimizing CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development cycle across cloud and on-premise infrastructures. Integrate automated testing into continuous deployment pipelines, including unit, integration, functional, and acceptance testing, ensuring compatibility with diverse infrastructure setups.
- Identify bottlenecks and areas for improvement in CI/CD pipelines across different infrastructure types, proposing and implementing solutions to increase efficiency and reliability.
- Manage the configuration and maintenance of testing and development environments, ensuring consistency and availability of resources in both cloud and on-premise setups. Collaborate with operations teams to automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks of infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments.
- Research and adopt new tools and technologies to improve CI/CD processes and automated testing, considering the diverse needs of cloud and on-premise deployments. Document processes, procedures, and configurations related to continuous deployment systems and performance testing across cloud and on-premise environments.**Your profile**:
- Demonstrated experience in the design, implementation, and optimization of continuous deployment systems based on Jenkins across cloud and on-premise infrastructures.
- Deep knowledge of automation and orchestration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions, adaptable to different infrastructure setups.
- Experience in integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines, including unit, integration, functional, and acceptance testing across various infrastructure environments.
- Ability to conduct performance, scalability, and stress testing using tools like JMeter, Gatling, Locust, among others, in both cloud and on-premise configurations.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and collaborative development practices, applicable to cloud and on-premise development workflows.
- Analytical skills and ability to identify and resolve complex problems efficiently across diverse infrastructure environments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team in an agile and collaborative environment, spanning cloud and on-premise teams.
- Proven experience deploying environments with a high level of security, such as in the banking sector.
- Experience deploying platforms in products such as OpenShift or Cloud Foundry.
- Experience in the creation and configuration of Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience working in large organizations / international teams.
- Certifications in Linux system administration, cloud platforms, and CI/CD are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.**Our offer**:
