**Santander Digital Services Spain is looking for a Head of Data Architecture, based mainly in MADRID.**

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**

As **Head of Data Architecture **w e need somebody like you to help us in different fronts to:

- **Lead a team of Data architects **, **to foster adoption of our Global Data Architecture strategy **. Leverage our technologies and reference architectural blueprints, making sure that the architectures are tailored to their needs and requirements, and securing its adoption by the business to maximize value as cost efficiencies and business growth.
- **Provide technical excellence and support for all needs across Santander Spain business units, stakeholders and teams **, being a main point of contact for all related needs, and supporting the business with a portfolio of alternatives around Data (Modelling & Governance, Privacy & Sharing, Operational Data Services and Analytical/Data Streaming platforms) to respond to existing, or new business use cases enabled by Data-driven solutions.

**WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING**

EXPERIENCE
- +10 years’ experience in large, complex organizations business-driven projects, leading the interaction with the business stakeholders, in the Retail banking business.
- +5 years’ experience managing technology teams in projects involving Data-related technologies: Big Data, Cloud, AI/Machine Learning, Data Streaming, 360 Modelling, Governance, Quality, Data privacy

EDUCATION
- University Degree (post-graduate will be a plus)

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

**Required**
- Ability to **engage and work closely with technical and business stakeholders **to scope, define and deliver Data Architectures around a number of different aspects: Data Modelling & Governance, Data Privacy & Sharing, Operational Data Services and Analytical/Data Streaming platforms, to solve technical and business problems, being fluent in the Retail Banking and Financial services context.
- Ability to **describe which are the benefits of Data Architectures in technical terms and also to the business **to help them to better understand and demand Data-driven solutions to address their business needs.
- Ability to **understand functional needs of the businesses to map them to Data Architecture requirements **, to leverage and help improve the Data Reference architectures they are based on.
- Ability to **provide thought-leadership and vision to technical/non-technical audiences on the role and benefits of Data Architecture **, strategies and technologies across Santander group.
- Ability to **work with multi-disciplinary teams across Technology, Businesses, CDO, CTO, CISO, DPO, etc. **to perform requirements analysis, gap analysis, roadmap and adoption plans for the Data Architectures and initiatives being defined to ensure those solve businesses problems effectively.
- Ability to **work closely with other Reference architects **(business and technical **) **to build end-to-end solutions **and elicit requirements for the definition and evolution of reference and technical strategies and architectures.
- Ability to **work with **suppliers to deploy and integrate Data Architectures that bring the Data forward **, to where the business requires it.
- Ability to **define success criteria and build a set of well-defined KPIs **for adoption of Operational Data Services, strategies and architectures and monitor KPIs progress and implementation.
- Fluent in English and Spanish written and spoken
