**Data Science Analyst**

PepsiCo operates in an environment undergoing immense and rapid change, in part driven by emergent retail technologies. To ensure continued success in the food and beverage space, PepsiCo has assembled a dedicated Sales Effectiveness Data Science (SE-DS) Team - tasked with optimizing our sales operations and developing innovative solutions that will give PepsiCo a sustainable competitive advantage. This SE-DS team forms part of the broader global Data Science group within our global Data & Analytics (D+A) organization.

While tied closely to the broader organization, this team can be seen more as a flexible, experimental and execution-focused group; embracing the core values of having bias for action, being results oriented, maintaining a community-focus, and prioritizing people.

The team consists mainly of data scientists, technology specialists, and business innovators who operate directly with business teams and/or functional stakeholders, with the objective of quickly adding value to the business through innovative, quickly executed and often experimental solutions, while always focusing on future global scalability of each solution.

What the PepsiCo Data Science Sales Effectiveness Team does:

- Build machine learning systems to understand and solve business problems.
- Perform statistical analysis across diverse datasets to drive and measure performance
- Work with PepsiCo’s strategic partners to expand their technical capabilities, thereby creating a more robust data environment
- Add quick value to the business through fast and geographically fenced POCs that, if successful, have the potential to be scaled into global tools that drive automation and optimize business operations
- Create basic visualization on demand (e.g., Power BI, Tableau ) to facilitate story telling towards business stakeholder.

As a Data Science Analyst, you will play a critical role in executing the global DS-SE growth agenda. You will work directly with members of this team in identifying, designing, and implementing data science/machine learning solutions to address business problems.

**Responsibilities**
- Work within the SE-DS team to analyze (large) data sets
- Assist in the development of custom models/algorithms to uncover trends, patterns and insights
- Write clean, organized machine learning code using standard software engineering methodologies
- Explain your findings and conclusions both to a Data Science audience as well as to a business audience. Always keep in mind the business relevance of your work
- Integrate into a multidisciplinary team, collaborate with other members to improve the overall team efficiency and results
- Create and maintain documentation for insights and knowledge transfer

**Qualifications**
- Master’s Degree in Data/Computer Science, an engineering or scientific disciple, or equivalent experience. Other academic backgrounds are not automatically discarded though.
- Experience and familiarity with Python, in particular, data processing, feature engineering and data modelling using relevant/standard python libraries.
- Familiarity with mathematical models underlying data science methods
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and concisely communicate with both business and technical audiences
- Experience in building complete ML solutions, including data exploration, model design and evaluation (model deployment is a considered a pre)
- Business storytelling and communicating data insights in business consumable format.
- Fluent in _git_
- Experience with Cloud computing platforms (ideally Azure and/or DataBricks)
- Agile methodology for team work and analytics 'product' creation
