About the role: This role drives the digital transformation of the Business Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function into a data and AI/ML-driven advanced analytics and value-creation powerhouse. The Global Manager Digital Finance (GMDF) shapes the way Finance/BPA supports our business using AI, ML & digital. This includes project management, process and organizational design and reengineering, and identifying and managing interdependencies with other digital initiatives throughout the company (e.g. market access & pricing, commercial functions, production/supply chain, the corporate digital office, etc.) The GMDF takes an active part in orchestrating the development and implementation of AI/ML-powered components for financial forecasting and planning, marketing and sales-related data science analytics. The role is accountable for the execution of assigned projects, driving change across the organization, including transformational activities, and coordination with business to maximize impact of digital solutions. Without being a technology expert, the GMDF is partnering with data scientists, software and data engineers and visualization experts to build digital business solutions

Your responsibilities will be but are not limited to:
**About the Role**:

- Co-develops vision and supports prioritization of new AI-/decision-making tools in close alignment with the BPA/Finance functions of different business units
- Owns selected AI/ML products and heads their design, development and implementation by orchestrating the right resources across data science and visualization experts. Ensures successful roll-out, adoption and ongoing operations.
- Connects newly designed solutions and processes with operational links and leverages her/his BPA acumen to pragmatically implement in the Novartis environment
- Liaises with other digital/AI initiatives (e.g. commercial, supply chain, pricing and market access, treasury, investor relations, ), identifies potential overlaps/ synergies, and co-creates holistic digitalization roadmap
- Co-shapes future organization of BPA/ Finance function to realize systemic evolution
- Works closely with broader Digital Finance and Data & IT team to define data requirements for next generation AI tools to further improve decision-making and efficiencies
- Leads select, new initiatives/MVPs with cross-functional partners to proof business value with objective to scale up globally
- Ensures quick turnaround of ad-hoc analyses whenever needed, providing always timely and accurate information / analysis for the decision making process
- Facilitates decision-making by management from Units, Group and other Global Functions to drive digital transformation

**Minimum requirements**
- University degree in Business Administration, Economics or similar diploma, recognized financial qualification.
- 5-9 years financial experience in blue chip companies, ideally in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
- Very strong communication and stakeholder management skills, capable of interacting with senior leadership and successfully drive challenging conversations.
- English is a must
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in business analysis and financial forecasting.
- Knowledge of business finance processes (esp. planning & forecasting), performance management, business analytics
- Innovative, digital, and agile mindset
