Data Governance Expert

Roles & Responsibilities:
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the analysis, designing, implementation and improvement of data governance strategy in Parques Reunidos.
- Create and implement a strategic plan for the business in line with business ambitious expectations.
- Coordination with IT department to implement strategies to improve platform performance that drives to improvements in the experience and increase value.
- Create and deliver plans that focus on key strategic pillars of growth.
- Responsible for communication and any escalation of data governance, strategy, or issues to the business stakeholder directly.
- Ensures, together with the internal communications team, that all communications in alignment with Information management and methodologies are using the best channels and reach the correct audience
- Building and maintaining strong relationships internally and externally in order to facilitate governance involvement with projects across all business areas and development of new governance project opportunities.
- Providing technical leadership and support to other team members through organised training sessions, ad hoc project advice and support on making technical decisions
- Being accountable for the quality of the analytical deliveries and conducting and managing the quality assurance of the outputs
- Representing the Governance team in various internal and external meetings to either present project work or provide advice
- Ensuring knowledge and experience is shared within the team and the wider business
- Further developing technical skills, including analytical software and advanced analytical methods
- Support different legal restrictions and regulations within different countries. Strong coordination with the security team for supporting security standards
- Establish and roll out data governance standards, frameworks, documentation and tools.
- Put processes in place to make data more discoverable, addressable, trustworthy, self-describing, inter-operable and secure.
- Partner and coordinate with the data security and legal teams to ensure compliance.
- Partner and coordinate with key team members on cross functional teams for data quality and issue remediation.
- Oversee, manage and version key deliverables and processes to build Parques Reunidos data model.
- Proactively champion the value of our data assets and a “data as a product” culture throughout the business.
- Build metrics to measure Data Governance operational key results.
- Operating our corporate governance tool

**Requirements**:
**Education**:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Management, Information Systems, or related field or a scientific discipline with demonstration of excellent analytical skills.
- Any master’s degree in Master Data Management, Data Governance or Big Data will be considered a plus.
- DAMA data management knowledge will be required.

Languages:

- Spanish - Mother tongue.
- English: Fluent (C1).

Computer Skills:

- Experience with any governance tool

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in multinational companies with Data Quality, Analytics, Business Intelligence and change management methodologies.
- Business professional experience with relevant industry experience focusing on developing, implementing, and maintaining data standards, management, and governance across multinational organizations
- Experience of leading and working with the business to establish data standards and ownership
- Knowledge of data governance frameworks and how they have been implemented in other large, complex organizations
- Experience in defining and implementing data quality dashboards and leading and working on data quality improvement programs in large complex organizations
- Proven ability to effectively lead and manage within a fast paced, high growth complex organization
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to identify and collaborate with key stakeholders across functions
- Proficient in Data Governance frameworks and a solid understanding of Metadata Management, Master Data and Data Quality standards.
- Solid knowledge and understanding of the business and organization
- Excellent listening, written, and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and decision making skills
- Ability to anticipate and solve problems
- Proven change management skills and experience
- Experience transforming business requirements in technical specifications
- Work culture with Agile methodologies and remote tools
- Knowledge of databases and BI tools and/or experience in writing SQL queries
