**What will your role look like?**
As a Senior Researcher within our European Projects team, you will plan, lead, and ensure the scientific quality of socio-technical research projects and proposals (combining social science, statistics, data protection, algorithmic auditing, security, etc.), where we focus on data protection and ethical technology. You will lead several projects within the framework of the European Commission, collaborating with consortiums of multiple public and private sector partners. helping shape a more ethical technological future.

**To be successful in this mission you will**:

- Plan, conduct, and oversee the ethics requirements, data management, and legal

standards of projects’ fieldwork and data collection activities.
- Perform analyses on a variety of data with an eye for dissemination and innovation.
- Be able to quickly and efficiently understand and edit scientific content that maximizes

impact.
- Compile findings and write-up research reports and informative pieces related to your

work in a compelling and accessible form that ensures succinct highlighting of the issues,

solutions and key insights.
- Work in multiple projects with conflicting deadlines and multiple stakeholders while

retaining scientific quality.
- Be prepared to present your work to the consortium as well as other teams within Eticas

or outside the organization.
- Communicate efficiently with partners, clients and the Eticas team about your work and

project developments, facilitate knowledge-sharing.
- Participate in the development and preparation of project proposals.
- Be passionate about social change and ethics in technology.

**Requirements**:
**What will make you suceed?**
- Ability to read, speak and write **fluently in English and Spanish**:

- Experience in **ethical & legal advisor roles** and knowledge and understanding of European

Commission projects (particularly the Horizon Europe program) and the related

legislation, preparation of analytical and technical reports, research tasks, and data

management plans.
- Experience in **legal analysis and research at the PhD level,** or equivalent years of

experience implementing qualitative methodologies
- Experience in research and/or consultancy projects involving one or more of the

following: data protection, AI regulations & auditing, artificial intelligence, and data

engineering
- Being **open and collaborative**. Taking and giving constructive feedback and being always

eager to share an idea or suggestion.
- Work **proactively** and have a can-do mindset to execute your own ideas without the need

for large investments in validation, along with a lifelong learning attitude
**It would be a bonus if you also...**
- Speak and write in other **European languages.**:

- Have experience with any **PM software.**:

- Have occasional availability for **travel.**:

- Have knowledge and understanding of the **proposal process**, or experience developing

funding/research proposals and tenders.
- Dominate **data analysis **software and **quantitative research** methods.
- Have experience with **global ethics** and technology networks.
- Have a **Privacy Concern**: You challenge Data Laws and are concerned with Data Privacy.
