Mission Performance Expert

Created in 2009, **ESSP**is a young and dynamic company, a **pan European service provider**, certified by EASA (the European Union Aviation Safety Agency) to deliver safety-critical services. Our mission is to operate and provide **Communication, Navigation and Surveillance**(CNS) services, among which, the main one is, the **EGNOS service** (the European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), on behalf of the EUSPA (the European Agency for Space).

ESSP recruits a:
**MISSION PERFORMANCE EXPERT - (F/M)**

If you **have 5 years of experience in satellite navigation (GNSS)** and **3 years in a field relevant to SBAS Perofrmance**, then this position is for you

By joining us, you will ensure the **detailed analysis**, **trending **and **reporting** of the mission performances in order to assess the compliance with the mission requirements, to define new service areas and to detect performance degradations identifying the cause of the problem, the mitigation actions and solutions.

**Your main responsibilities/activities will be**:

- Ensure the compliance of EGNOS Mission performances at user level against ICAO[1] SARPS[2], MOPS[3] and EGNOS MRD (Mission Requirement Document) requirements,
- Analysis of EGNOS mission performance anomalies detected in the monitoring tasks, including a crosscheck with external sources, giving priority to those related to safety issues,
- Participation/Support to anomaly review boards,
- Identification of possible developments and evolutions of the existing tools,
- Review of the corresponding technical documentation developed for EGNOS Operation activities,
- Preparation and participation of workshops, conferences and papers,
- Support to the preparation of Service Provision Management Reports, Service Definition Documents, Service Notices, Mission Monitoring and Prediction manuals and Mission Monitoring processes,
- Provide expertise in the definition and detection of contingency situations regarding performance,
- Participation in different groups regarding EGNOS framework, providing technical support,
- Support to users oriented activities which require technical analysis, including evaluation and analysis of problems reported by the users through the Helpdesk service,
- Participation in daily Service & Performance Monitoring Board (SPMB),
- Execution of activities related to the definition and potential extension of the performance coverage and service area,
- Support to other entities in the analysis of observations and anomalies detected as part of their EGNOS performance assessment,
- Support to EGNOS system formal reviews,

**PROFILE**:

- Experience in GNSS performance analysis and standards (MOPS and SARPS)
- Capacity to problem solving
- Team spirit and cooperation
- Very good knowledge on GNSS technology
- Knowledge of SBAS standards (MOPS, SARPS)
- Knowledge of data/environment/interfaces
- Knowledge of GNSS evol/non GNSS technology
- Analysis and synthesis
- Desirable some knowledge of Space Weather concepts and impacts in GNSS Technology
- Autonomy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Good analysis and investigation skills

**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:

- **Language**: English (B2) - CEFR and Spanish (desirable)
- **Engineering degree or equivalent**
