**What do we do?**

FOSSA has verticalized the manufacturing process of satellites, space operations and ground segment services, with an operations and production centre in Madrid together with a global network of satellites in orbit and satellite control stations.

FOSSA is combining technology miniaturization with mass production techniques to launch a network of 80 satellites to orbit. FOSSA launches a higher number of distributed satellite constellations at a fraction of the cost of a traditional single satellite. Lower satellite costs and shorter development times allow the use of more cutting-edge technology which is competitive with existing solutions.

**Who are we looking for?**

We are currently looking for a Telecommunications Engineer to join our telecommunications engineering team. This person will directly participate in the development of new and entire telecommunications systems, developing new radio modules from scratch while implementing new antennae solutions, both for satellites, ground stations and IoT nodes. Reporting directly to the Telecommunications systems engineer and department manager, you will be able to provide value all over the different sections within the telecommunications department. FOSSA works with a roll-your-sleeve mentality and every part of the organization is extremely hand-on with the software and hardware.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design of radiofrequency circuits, implementation of commercial RF components.
- Planning and execution of testing campaigns for the hardware developed.
- RF systems and antennae simulations (CST, HFSS) and physical implementation.
- Design documentation and testing reports.
- Design validation and quality assurance.

**Profile requirements**:

- Graduate in Telecommunications engineering or similar.
- Strong technical background on antenna theory (Dipole, Patch, Array etc.) and implementation.
- Strong technical background on RF electronics simulation, design, implementation and testing of power amplifiers, filters, LNAs,
- PCBs routing and design.
- Previous experience on RF device testing and use of specialized lab equipment.
- Full professional competence in English.

**Nice to have**:

- Having developed personal related projects.
- Demonstrable interest on space sector activities.
- SDR Experience
- NB-IoT, LoRa, LoRaWAN Experience
- C/C++ and Python programming experience.
- Experience in soldering SMD components.
