**Global Forwarding Agent - Ocean Export**

Primary Location: Barcelona Spain

C.H. Robinson is growing its team in Barcelona and is looking for a Global Forwarding Agent - Ocean Export to join our Global Forwarding division. This role provides an exciting opportunity to become a versatile expert in global forwarding, tackling diverse challenges across regions and industries.

At C.H. Robinson, we believe that in-person collaboration fuels innovation and drives success. In this role, you'll spend three days a week on-site, working alongside talented peers to spark creativity and achieve impactful results. With the flexibility to work remotely two days a week, this position offers the perfect balance between teamwork and independence.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
The duties and responsibilities of this position consists of, but are not limited to, the following:
**Maintain Operational Excellence**:

- Understand the processes, documentation, and terminology involved in international shipping from time of purchase order issuance through the delivery of the cargo
- Coordinate tasks on the shipments to meet all customer SOP requirements: booking approvals, processing pre-alerts, governmental filings, executing delivery, ensuring proper invoicing, etc.

**Facilitate Relationships**:

- Collaborate with our international team members and third-party agents to ensure efficiency, excellent customer service and creative problem resolution
- Build great relationships with customers, responding timely and following up on issue resolution
- Provide reporting and documentation support to internal and external customers
- Participate in customer business reviews
- Contribute to seamless forwarding operations across various regions, gaining exposure to unique challenges and client needs

**QUALIFICATIONS**

**Required**:

- Minimum 1-3 years of Ocean Export experience
- Fluency in English and Spanish (written and verbal)

**Preferred**:

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven office environment
- Critical thinking, flexibility, and problem-solving skills to adapt to ever-changing tasks and customer needs
- Knowledge or coursework in Supply Chain, Logistics, or International Business
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Excellent customer service skills and follow-up to be utilized with customers and the network
