Sourcing & Vendor Manager

As a Sourcing & Vendor Manager you will have responsibilities for the execution of day to day procurement and tactical management of some vendor relationships for primarily IT software, hardware and services. The focus of the position is to prioritize sourcing activities and drive value from the sourcing of goods and services for internal customers and projects. This role reports directly to the Head of Sourcing & Vendor Management.

The Sourcing & Vendor Manager will work together with business stakeholders and the broader team of Sourcing and Vendor Management professionals to obtain the optimum value for Atradius, both during the current period of major business transformation and thereafter. The role will work primarily with delivery managers and project managers for IT services but will require some engagement at senior levels within Atradius up to Executive Management.

There is flexibility to the role location and this can be at any of our IT delivery centers (Amsterdam, Cardiff or Madrid), with occasional travel expected to other Atradius offices and vendor locations as necessary.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage a portfolio of renewals, across software, maintenance and services contracts and look to drive benefits through synergies across our company entities.
- Manage independently from idea through to implementation the sourcing lifecycle (sourcing approach - RfX-negotiation-contracting) for some low to medium risk products and services (for example, new business software, new cloud services, etc )
- Set in place clearly defined plans, aligned with stakeholders, to drive optimization of contract and vendor value for Atradius across portfolio.
- Maintain and continuously update knowledge about the market offerings relevant to key value areas of portfolio
- Maintain internal stakeholder relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure Sourcing & Vendor Management are part of the selection and strategy discussions early to optimize value potential.
- Run Vendor Due Diligence actions as required to mitigate risks and maintain oversight on vendor portfolio
- Maintain data on contracts in Contract Management system to ensure quality data for controlling the overall Sourcing & Vendor Management KPIs.
- Handle administration of purchasing activities to generate and issue Purchase Orders (knowledge of Oracle P2P is a plus)
- Manage regular vendor governance and meeting for higher value/risk vendors in portfolio
- Support wider Sourcing & Vendor management team as required and play an active role in sharing experiences and expertise to support team growth and improvement of processes and policies where meaningful.

**Job Requirements/Key Skills**:

- Have a minimum of 3 years experience of sourcing and procurement experience, with at least 1 year in IT and Software procurement domain. Relevant qualification (eg: CIPS) is a plus;
- Be proficient in Spanish and English (either native or fluent) and comfortable to work on negotiation and contracting activities in both languages;
- Have proven experience in successfully executing negotiation and contracting activities;
- Comfortable with legal concepts and key terms relevant for sourced goods and services and can operate independently on most contracting initiatives;
- Have broad knowledge of the IT industry and the products (particularly the intricacies of software licenses and Cloud services);
- Be familiar with relevant regulatory and industry requirements;
- Have solid knowledge of procurement and buying processes - requisitions to purchase orders to payment;
- Have solid grasp of financial concepts, such as depreciation schedules, costing, total cost of ownership and performance incentives and mechanisms;
- Demonstrate presence and comfort interacting with both internal and vendor senior leadership, building relationships that facilitate influence in these interactions and is comfortable navigating complex decision making processes;
- Have strong risk assessment and problem-solving abilities with a focus on result over process;
- Enthusiastic, willing, able to learn and continuously develop skills and techniques - enjoys change and seeks continuous improvement;
- A clear communicator both written and verbal with good presentational skills, fluent and proficient in the English language;
- Able to work under pressure to demanding timescales;
- Customer focused and a team player;
